How the angle decides
- 0° conjunction — the same sign. Recognition, and a doubled blind spot.
- 30° semi-sextile — neighbours. Little in common; mild mutual bafflement.
- 60° sextile — complementary elements. Easy and cooperative.
- 90° square — same modality, clashing elements. Friction that produces movement.
- 120° trine — same element. The smoothest pairing there is.
- 150° quincunx — nothing shared at all. Requires deliberate translation.
- 180° opposition — across the wheel. Each holds what the other lacks.
Because signs are evenly spaced, these angles are fixed. Aries and Leo are always 120 degrees apart, so they always form a trine. Nothing here is a matter of taste.
What a score is worth
Nothing predictive. No study has found an association between birth dates and relationship outcomes, and the strongest pairing on this grid will not save a relationship that two people are not working at.
What the aspects describe reasonably well is the kind of difficulty a pairing tends to produce. A square is not worse than a trine — it is louder, and it moves. Plenty of people find a trine boring.
