Numerology compatibility
How two Life Path numbers interact — where they reinforce each other, and where the friction reliably sits.

The three groups
- Independent — 1, 5, 7. Self-directed. Need autonomy and react badly to being managed.
- Structured — 2, 4, 8. Build and consolidate. Value reliability and long horizons.
- Expressive — 3, 6, 9. Outward-facing and relational. Process things by sharing them.
Pairings inside a group are smoother. Pairings across groups take more translation but are not worse — a 4 and a 5 describe someone who builds and someone who moves, and plenty of durable relationships run on exactly that tension.
What compatibility numbers cannot tell you
Nothing about whether a specific relationship will work. No study has found any association between birth dates and relationship outcomes, and a low score describes a difference in operating style, not an incompatibility.
Used sensibly, this is a vocabulary for a conversation you were probably going to have anyway — about pace, independence and what each of you needs. Used as a reason to leave or stay, it is doing work it cannot support.
