Every site publishes something like “Leo: 23 July – 22 August”. A tropical year is 365.2422 days, so the Sun reaches a given longitude about six hours later each year until a leap day drags it back. Over the years that sawtooth spans about a day and a half — and every date below sits inside it. If you were born on one of these, half the internet has been giving you the wrong sign.

What each date page gives you
For a boundary date: which sign you get in each birth year, with the exact minute the Sun crossed where the crossing lands inside that day. That is the only honest answer to “am I Cancer or Leo”, and it cannot be given by a table.
For a settled date: the Sun's degree, which of the three decans it falls in and that decan's sub-ruler — the layer that distinguishes two people born three weeks apart under the same sign, and which almost every date page omits.
On both: the spread of life path numbers that day and month can produce across a century. Because only the year varies, the distribution is uneven and specific to the date — some dates can yield a master number, and some cannot yield one at all.
