Rose Quartz and Emerald sit at 7 or above, so dust will not scratch them. The other 3 dip below quartz, so dust slowly dulls their polish.
A rose quartz is often placed in the bedroom or carried as a reminder to treat yourself kindly, and stones are commonly given as gifts at the start of a relationship or on anniversaries. In feng shui-inspired practice a pair of stones is set in the south-west corner of a room.
Relationships improve through attention, honest conversation and time together; research on couples points to responsiveness and kindness in everyday moments. A meaningful gift or keepsake can reinforce that attention — the stone matters because of what it reminds you to do.
Emerald and garnet in real jewelry are expensive; imitations are common, so buy from a jeweler who will certify the stone. Tumbled rose quartz is inexpensive and safe to handle.
