Nothing is quite what it appears. Fear, imagination and half-information — the card asks you to wait for daylight before deciding.
The Moon is uncertainty and illusion: things are not what they seem, fears grow in the dark and intuition has to stand in for facts. The card describes confusion, anxiety and dreams, and asks you to move carefully until the picture clears.
Confusion lifting, or deception coming to light. The fog beginning to clear.
Reversed, the fog lifts: confusion clears, secrets come out or fears turn out to be unfounded. It can also mean deeper anxiety if it is ignored.
