“Activity in undertakings, the path of such activity, swiftness, as that of an express messenger; great haste, great hope, speed towards an end which promises assured felicity; generally, that which is on the move; also the arrows of love.”
“Arrows of jealousy, internal dispute, stingings of conscience, quarrels; and domestic disputes for persons who are married.”
The Eight of Wands sits where the Eights row crosses the Wands column; its cell shows Mercury in Sagittarius, the Book T decan.

The image
Eight wands fly diagonally through a clear sky over open countryside and a river, all heading in the same direction. No people appear on the card.
Upright, a whirlwind romance, fast-moving developments or messages flying back and forth. Reversed, delays, crossed wires or moving too quickly.
Their feelings are developing quickly and they are eager to move forward.
Quick progress, deadlines and a busy period of calls and travel. Be ready to act.
Yes — and soon. Upright it counts as a yes in a yes-or-no spread; reversed, it leans toward no, usually as a “not yet” rather than a flat no. Most of the Wands give the same answer: 12 of the 14 say yes. Among the other Eights, the Eight of Cups and the Eight of Swords say no, while the Eight of Pentacles also says yes.
Health: like every card of Wands, it points to energy levels and physical drive. The suit of Wands →
