Standing your ground under pressure. You hold an advantageous position, but you have to keep defending it.
The Seven of Wands is defending your position: standing firm against challenges, competition or criticism. It describes perseverance and conviction — you hold the higher ground, but you have to keep holding it.
Feeling overwhelmed, giving up too soon, or defending a position that is no longer worth it.
Reversed, the defense weakens: feeling overwhelmed, giving up, or exhausting yourself fighting battles that do not matter.
