…and back into Capricorn

Venus retrograde in Capricorn examines commitment, status and financial security in relationships. Long-term plans are questioned, the cost of love is weighed and old responsibilities return. It suits rebuilding foundations rather than making grand new promises.

It begins in Capricorn season and ends in Aquarius season.

No other planet is retrograde during this period, which is unusual.

For the sign itself, see Aquarius and its daily horoscope.

Computed from the actual motion

The nearest Venus retrogrades either side of 1997

Previous

1996 Ended July 2, 1996 after 43 days, moving back 16.52° through the zodiac.

Next

1999 Begins July 30, 1999 and runs 43 days.

Both dates are computed from the planet’s apparent motion, not taken from a table. A retrograde begins the moment its daily movement against the stars turns negative, and that moment is findable to the hour.
