The Hierophant is the card of tradition passed on — a teacher between two pillars, hand raised in blessing, two students kneeling before him. Venus rules it through Taurus, so the teaching is steady and patient rather than fiery. In a matrix it is the most frequent arcana of all, 1st of 22, and one of the seven arcana that between them fill three matrix centers in four; its own share of the center is 10.75% of birth dates.

A natural teacher and a dependable parent or mentor. Works easily with information, law and structure, and gets on well with children. Strict but kind: knows when to praise and when to redirect, and gives advice gently, without pushing.
