This one is computed in three steps. First the Moon's position today. Then the angle between that position and your sign, which gives an aspect — conjunction, trine, square and so on. Then the house that position falls in relative to you, which gives the area of life.
All three are checkable. The Moon's phase and sign are published in any astronomical almanac; if our figures disagree with those, we are wrong.
The Moon's position uses mean motion, accurate to roughly half a day at sign boundaries. Fine for a daily reading, not precise enough for a natal chart.
