The reasoning

Why Aries gets Diamond and Bloodstone

Aries is ruled by Mars and opens the zodiac at the spring equinox, and both stones follow from that. Diamond, the April stone, matches the sign's directness and its refusal to back down — its Greek name, adamas, means "unconquerable". Bloodstone puts Mars's red against the green of new growth, the colors of the season the sign begins. Read together, they describe the Aries ideal: nerve that lasts, rather than a burst of courage that burns out in the first week.
