Blocked
Anxiety about money and safety, restlessness, feeling you have no place.
Chakra 1 · Muladhara · Red
Governs safety, survival and belonging.
When it is working. Grounded, secure, able to rest without scanning for threat.
When it is not. Anxiety about money and safety, restlessness, feeling you have no place.
What is suggested. Anything physical and repetitive — walking, weight, cooking. Contact with the ground.
Most guides describe only two states. The system actually names three, and the third is the one people miss — a chakra can be too open as easily as too closed, and the symptoms look nothing alike.
Blocked
Anxiety about money and safety, restlessness, feeling you have no place.
Balanced
Grounded, secure, able to rest without scanning for threat.
Overactive
Rigidity, hoarding, and an inability to relax even when nothing is wrong. Security pursued past the point of usefulness.
Anything physical and repetitive — walking, weight, cooking. Contact with the ground.
Squats, standing poses, walking barefoot. Anything that puts weight through the legs.
Root vegetables, protein, anything red.
Worth being plain: none of this has been shown to affect anything measurable. What it reliably does is give you a reason to move, eat deliberately and sit still — and those three do have evidence behind them, whatever the framing.
