Throat chakra

The Throat chakra (Vishuddha) is the fifth of the seven, at the throat. Its color is blue, its element ether and its seed sound HAM. It governs expression and truth.

What the Throat chakra is

The Throat chakra is about expression and truth: saying what you mean, listening well, and being heard. It is the system's place for honesty, for creative voice and for timing — not only what you say but when. A person who swallows everything and a person who talks over everyone are both read as throat imbalances.

Vishuddha means "especially pure" or "purification" — the chakra where tradition says experience is refined into speech.

Worth being plain: none of this has been shown to affect anything measurable. What it reliably does is give you a reason to move, eat deliberately and sit still — and those three do have evidence behind them, whatever the framing.
