Aura colour

Violet Aura

Read as the pull toward what is larger than the person. A real wavelength, 380–450 nanometres.

Checked against the visible spectrum

Violet is a real colour of light

Wavelength 380–450 nm
Width of the band 70 nm of the visible 370
Chakra Crown — one of only 8 covered
Searched 3,390/mo · rank 21 of 31

The shortest visible wavelength — below 380 nanometres is ultraviolet, invisible to us. Unlike purple, which most sources treat as its synonym, violet is a genuine spectral colour.

Light and dark violet

These two are not symmetrical, and it goes the opposite way to how it looks. Dark violet is the same wavelength with less light — still pure. Light violet is that wavelength plus every other one, because white is all of them. The pale version is the mixed version.

Light violet

Adding white light, which means adding every other wavelength alongside the 380–450 nm band. So a light violet aura is, in physical terms, less purely violet than the standard one — the hue is diluted, not brightened. Read as the pull toward what is larger than the person held more lightly.

Dark violet

The identical wavelength at lower intensity — fewer photons, same frequency. Dark violet is therefore the only one of the two that is still purely violet: nothing has been added to it, only removed. Read as transcendence used to skip the practical — the strained version.

Questions about the violet aura

What does a violet aura mean?

The pull toward what is larger than the person. The shadow side is transcendence used to skip the practical.

Is violet a real colour of light?

Yes. It occupies 380–450 nanometres of the visible spectrum — 70 nm out of the roughly 370 the eye can see — so a single frequency of light produces it.

Which chakra is violet?

The Crown chakra. Only 8 of the 31 colours people search for as auras map onto a chakra at all — the system covers seven positions, not the whole palette.

How rare is a violet aura?

Unanswerable — auras are not counted anywhere. What is countable is interest: 3,390 searches a month, rank 21 of 31.
