Aura colour

Teal Aura

Read as composure with something exacting underneath. A real wavelength, 490–500 nanometres.

Checked against the visible spectrum

Teal is a real colour of light

Wavelength 490–500 nm
Width of the band 10 nm of the visible 370
Chakra none — outside the chakra system

A real, narrow band where blue meets green — around ten nanometres wide. One of the few non-chakra colours in this set that does exist as a wavelength.

Light and dark teal

These two are not symmetrical, and it goes the opposite way to how it looks. Dark teal is the same wavelength with less light — still pure. Light teal is that wavelength plus every other one, because white is all of them. The pale version is the mixed version.

Light teal

Adding white light, which means adding every other wavelength alongside the 490–500 nm band. So a light teal aura is, in physical terms, less purely teal than the standard one — the hue is diluted, not brightened. Read as composure with something exacting underneath held more lightly.

Dark teal

The identical wavelength at lower intensity — fewer photons, same frequency. Dark teal is therefore the only one of the two that is still purely teal: nothing has been added to it, only removed. Read as coolness that reads as judgement — the strained version.

Questions about the teal aura

What does a teal aura mean?

Composure with something exacting underneath. The shadow side is coolness that reads as judgement.

Is teal a real colour of light?

Yes. It occupies 490–500 nanometres of the visible spectrum — 10 nm out of the roughly 370 the eye can see — so a single frequency of light produces it.

Which chakra is teal?

None — the system covers 8 colours out of these 31. The seven chakras →

How rare is a teal aura?

Unanswerable — auras are not counted anywhere. What is countable is interest: 4,200 searches a month, rank 19 of 31.
