Why Sagittarius gets Turquoise and Topaz

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and is the zodiac's traveler, and turquoise has protected people on the road in lore for centuries: riders in Persia and Turkey tied it to bridles as a charm against falls. Its sky blue matches Jupiter in the old color correspondences. Topaz, the November stone, adds confidence and plain honesty — qualities the archer has in abundance and sometimes needs to temper. Both stones were thought to bring luck to people far from home.
