The Golden Wheel Dream-Book, under “Gun”
“To dream of firing a gun, or hearing the report of a gun, denotes strife: if you imagine some friend fires it, it shows that there Will be a difficulty with him. If you dream of killing a bird, squirrel, or other animal, by shooting it, it foretells that you will act rashly in some quarrel. For a lover to dream of firing a gun, is a sign he will have trouble with his sweetheart.”
